Enhanced Performance: Flute Coated End Mill Pieces Review

The ones I received are of better quality than I expected. I've been a locksmith for 20 years and for the price I would buy them again and again.

Need a new set as some of the 2 grooving cutters broke. They are good for odd jobs at the mill in the shop. Attractive price.

I used some of these bits to mill the bottom receiver, they worked great. Very easy to use for cutting aluminum without problems.

This is a good everyday end mill set, great for machining materials that won't let you sleep if you break a little. They're very similar to Harbor Freight's, but at best. I've already accidentally snapped a 3/16" 4-flute end mill, so I'll replace it when I get the chance. Pay attention to the TiN coating and understand what material it's for.

This is a high speed steel. Not carbide. They are excellent for aluminum. I've had great results with the LMS High Torque Mini Router 3990. However, I needed steel routers, not a carbide hole saw. After I cut 30 square inches in four or five passes, my four-flute 3/4 router bit wore out and started sparking. I finished with two flutes. I've since bought a carbide cutter. I will also buy a new set because the whole set costs about the same as a carbide bur.

I bought this set a while ago and haven't used it much. I prefer to buy individual end mills for each type of material I need to cut, which costs a lot more. I bought this set to get started so I have sizes that I don't usually have on hand. They work well for this purpose as long as you don't work too hard with them. The edges aren't as sharp as most other end mills I have, so they're my last resort in most cases. In contrast, the best end mills I use are typically $50 each, and sometimes more

For this price I would give 5 stars but the box fell apart! The wooden case is so inferior that it literally falls apart under its own weight. The hinges are thin metal, and the top and bottom wood laminate feels like thin bark of wood is falling apart. The joints of the fingers weren't glued, and the whole thing just fell apart. Lost time and a plastic box would probably have been cheaper. Ok Shars! The cutters work great with the aluminum I bought them for, I have other cutters for steel…
