I received 4 Energizer 9V batteries as ordered. However, they came in a clear plastic bag, not the manufacturer's sealed packaging. I'm concerned that the lack of sealed packaging may affect battery life. Also, the expiration date printed on the batteries is 2024. This is the first time I have bought batteries from Amazon. When I buy batteries from the store, I pay attention to the date of manufacture and only buy new batteries. I have contacted Revain and Energizer as this is the second time this year I have received batteries with no expiration date on the box, the box or the battery itself! As these 9 volt batteries were intended for smoke alarms, you can see that this is important information. There was a paper label with a bar code on the box which I believe was put there by Revain.
