Finally installed on a Focus. A bit of vibration at idle but cured knocking at start and gear changes. Also, it seemed to help get rid of the weird freeway vibrations at around 75 mph. A significant improvement over stock mounts or cheap imitations.

Installed on my 2002 SVT Focus. Wanted to reduce the movement of the engine when shifting and they did just that. The only downside is the extra vibration when idling, especially with the A/C on, but after a few months the vibration seems to have died down a bit. Great when you need more precise shifting, but not great if you have a glass bottom.

Bought to replace the original rubber bearings which failed within a week! They feel a lot better when accelerating and shifting gears. You don't know what you're missing until you get them. The only problem is the vibration when the A/C is on at idle. be ready for it. Things seem to have gotten a little less dire in the past few months. A solution might be to reuse a smaller rubber bushing to try and get more damping.

I am very pleased with these assembly inserts but I must warn you the instructions are lame. When installing the larger insert, ensure that the notch faces the rear of the vehicle (ie, the notch faces away from the smaller insert). Then when you reinstall the motor mount, install it so the notch is pointing up rather than down toward the floor. There is also a metal bracket on the gearbox that holds the bolt going through the motor mount in place. It has two screws, not counting the motor…

I also bought this for my Focus SVT. Let me just say that you DEFINITELY need a press or some reliable or constructive way to get the old liners out of the bearing retainer. The bushings consist of a metal through hole surrounded by rubber and encased in a plastic bushing. A hammer and chisel are definitely needed. My bushings were so rotten you could see through them. After that, shifting became much better. Clutch engagement also had a more direct response. Now the vibrations weren't too bad…

Getting the Focus SVT out wasn't easy. The vertical bolt broke inside the bracket because it was rusted down to the nut. The spare screw is an M10 x 70mm with a 1.50 thread pitch in case you need it in a pinch and buy it from a hardware store. If you are in a rust-prone region, DO NOT TRY without map gas (heater) or penetrating oil first. Once the pawl is out the existing bushing will need to be pushed out, otherwise you will need to cut the rubber and saw through the bushing. Changing to $$ is
