🔧 Enhanced Performance Axle/Overload Bump Stop Set - Energy Suspension 9.9156R Review

This product failed to live up to my expectations. As my tests showed, it did not improve my vehicle's performance and even caused some instability issues during my test drive. The only positive I can mention is that the installation was relatively easy. However, the negative impact it had on my vehicle's performance outweighs any convenience in installation. I do not recommend this product for those looking to upgrade their suspension system.

I bought these for my 2003 Ford Excursion 4x4 and they are not easy to fit. The screw that attaches it to the sheet metal is not part of the fender and so you will need an allen wrench to hold it in place. I used a socket and it was sticking out a little bit from the top of the fender and I held it in place with a vise. I also had to build a stretcher to pull the sheet out to even put it in. I also felt that they were a bit high to start with. A better model would be the 9.9136R 2" square…

This was fitted to my 2003 Excursion as a spring bumper. If you have a field trip, buy a stop that has a permanent latch built into it, even if it costs more. It's a pain to install. Look at your truck, you will see that the lower rear leaf spring that the bumper attaches to has very little room above it considering the height of the bumper. Mine has 1/4" spacing on one side and 3/8" spacing on the other side with these stops on the bottom spring. You will find that they come with loose hex…
