My favorite wireless bridge!

We use two of these to provide Wi-Fi access for some desktops without built-in Wi-Fi and even a few laptops that don't have built-in Wi-Fi as good as this device. previously used Linksys and Netgear Wi-Fi bridges; A Linksys has only died once, and while it worked, Netgear always made that annoying squeak when transferring traffic. I've had our two EnGenius devices (both set up in bridge mode, I've never used them as extenders) and they've always worked. As far as I can remember, I never had to…

EnGenie. Good product. And does what I need.

09/17/2014 As already written in other reviews, the construction did not go very smoothly. The WPA setup function didn't work with my AT&T router, but it did with my NetGear N300. However, when I connected the device to my laptop via cable and went to the setup webpage, everything was fine. I was able to select an alternate SSID and everything worked right away. This is to replace a failed Linksys bridge unit that has served me well for several years. So far, so good. But I just received the…

Does the same as for computers and accessories

Does not support wpa-enterprise to connect to an existing wpa-enterprise (PEAP, 802.1x) network. Its single-port cousin is said to support WPA-Enterprise to connect to an existing WPA-Enterprise network, but I can't find any vendor that has a clear, straight-forward return policy if the single-port cousin doesn't connect to supports existing wpa network. Company. It connects to most low-level home networks using static WPA-PSK or static WEP.

A large assortment; Reliable performance

This product is amazing. Knowing I needed an extended range of over 100 feet and through concrete walls and roofs, I purchased a pair of 9dbi antennas with this product. Advanced network performance is now super fast and always securely connected. All of this didn't even require any configuration changes to the host router. The created wizard is very easy to set up and connect, like connecting a laptop. It was so easy.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not for everyone

Works great, slight interference

Using this device as a wireless N-Bridge. The data transfer is stable and reliable even when transferring 700MB videos or ISO files. The only bug is in the control panel, after configuring and saving the wireless bridge settings the embedded web server seems to break to allow access to the control panel. It is not possible to return to the control panel without a hard reset. I checked and updated the firmware, it didn't fix anything so I left it as is. Not a big deal as the device has performed

Useful only as a paper holder

It worked at first when I connected a laptop to it. But after setting it up I still couldn't get an IP address from it. And even after manually assigning an IP address to ping the device, I couldn't do it. There is no factory reset button on the device. Although the EngeniusTech website holds the WPS button for at least 15 seconds, the system has not been factory reset. If you do a google search, you'll find that if the system doesn't work the first time, you'll never get it to work after that.

Bad antennas spoil a good device

. I agree with some other reviewers that the reception leaves a lot to be desired. It's a shame because this device was easy to set up. WPS worked on one of my two routers, and on the other, using the installation CD, all I had to do was enter my password (passphrase) to connect. (Of course I don't use both routers, they serve different purposes). The conditions I'm talking about is 70 feet walking when the signal goes through 4 living walls. Hardly extreme. I had a USB Wi-Fi antenna, so I…

I will buy another.

My router is in the basement and my office is on the second floor, so I was obviously experiencing some network delays. Thought I'd try this just to see if it works. At first I didn't bother with the quick install, I used the one on the CD. The main reason is laziness because I didn't want to make two flights to the router. The installation went almost immediately. My desktop connects immediately and I'm getting the full 75 Mbps my router is getting on my desktop. I used to use powerline and…

Good performance. on routers

We only give this repeater 3 stars mainly because of the 2dbi antennas. The only downside we found with this repeater is its seemingly limited ability to pick up the signal. If you have a signal this is a fantastic device. But even if you only get an orange light, the signal keeps dropping. However, the Stinger antenna seems to solve this problem. for the money I would not need to invest more money for better antennas. However, with better reception, be it antennas or whatever, it would…
