We use two of these to provide Wi-Fi access for some desktops without built-in Wi-Fi and even a few laptops that don't have built-in Wi-Fi as good as this device. previously used Linksys and Netgear Wi-Fi bridges; A Linksys has only died once, and while it worked, Netgear always made that annoying squeak when transferring traffic. I've had our two EnGenius devices (both set up in bridge mode, I've never used them as extenders) and they've always worked. As far as I can remember, I never had to turn them back on to troubleshoot network issues. The documentation could be a bit better, but once it's up and running I have no complaints about speed or reliability.
