Cheap and works!

Used because cheap. He installed my balancer on my 08 Silverado 5.316M THREAD which was perfect for my application. Used in conjunction with the old screw to complete the installation and then install the new screw.

Works in valve train tools

Even works with aftermarket valve springs. Use nothing but a wrench or socket and smear the washers with some grease and you shouldn't have any problems. I did the first few and wobbled from the impact and the hairpin provided didn't like it. Decent tool for the money

Minimalist solution

The cheapest solution on the market. All you need is a long bolt, nut and a couple of washers to install the Harmonic Balancer without the risk of damaging the crank threads. It does exactly that. The washers flex a little, but if you're worried, get another one from the parts store.

mmm It works out. - Power tools

The parts arrived dirty and rusty so I had to clean them and use ARP molybdenum grease (there are several bags, NOT included) to make sure the Installation went smoothly. It worked, no hammer needed, crank threads intact etc. One star removed due to kit condition but took 30 seconds to install. This tool is a must. For reference I used it on my LS3 with a Fluidampr Deep Seat Balancer.

Worked great but even the original bolt needs

This product is great for starting the crank pulley. At first I tried using a block of wood and tapping it lightly with a hammer, but it didn't move smoothly. This pulled the pulley with the crank slightly over the square. My bushing wasn't deep enough to fully install the pulley, but it was easy enough to use one of the washers and an old tie rod to drive it in fully. For the money, that saves a lot of headaches.
