I actually chose it for my canary, although it is also suitable for chickens. I can't imagine my adult hens (leggorns, so not even big hens) using this. I will upload some photos showing the dimensions. Even the canary's perches began to fall off, the screws loosened and would not tighten. I liked this look since it was made out of bamboo, but as long as it doesn't stay in one piece it doesn't really matter what it looks like. Our 1-7 day old chicks were too small to jump on the perch (they tried though, cute little jerks) but they loved running around the lower perches like Oh, and mirrors. When they were a week old, they practiced jumping the highest pole and were pros by two weeks. Size wise I assume it will be fine until they reach the 6-8 week range (after that they will move out of the incubator and onto the street where the branches will be dormant anyway).
