So I have 6 identical ceiling fans at home and almost all of them have rusted remote controls. That's incredibly unfortunate. They worked great and voted with them. So expensive, but practicality and functionality always win.

I had the light switch in the room on because the previous fan remote control didn't work anymore. I bought this one, checked the switch code (1111 in my case), put the batteries in. When I pressed the light button, not only did the light go out, but the entire ceiling fan. Tried turning it back on but to no avail. Now I have a new fan remote and there is no ceiling fan at all.

. The transmitter is in the fan and I initially thought I would have to replace it. I saw the review, all you need is a new remote control. So I bought this and it works great. Everything is fine with the transmitter, it was the remote control all along. This is significantly cheaper than buying and installing a new fan. A simple solution for old fans.

This item doesn't work. I was trying to replace my old remotes that changed color, I think I'll keep them for now. I used the correct DIP and then tried other DIPs and nothing. I tried this on all four of my fans and none worked. A word of caution - if you buy it, try it now and don't miss the return date. I contacted Revain through customer service within 90 days and they said to contact the seller. I don't want to dwell on this stupid point any further.

didn't fit. I ended up replacing the circuit board with an old one with a broken case, so mission accomplished for a working remote, but the only thing I could do was turn off the fan. No other function worked. The remote looked just like the old one, so much so that I was able to just replace the old working circuit board with this remote. I checked the correctness of the DIP switches several times and even tried all combinations of them. Wouldn't recommend it.

I like all the functions of this remote control. It controls the light with a dimmer, fan speed, and fan direction, and it has a feature that lets you turn on the fan when the room temperature reaches a certain level (although I've never really used it).
