I bought this pump for one time use but it worked so well I have used it several times in the last week. It works great! It has great suction power and only takes a few minutes to install. This little pump easily sucked five liters of hot transmission oil out of my van's transmission in about a minute - through the dipstick hole - very easily and quickly. I'm a big purchase of $20!

Good price, easy assembly, all with the right parts. It turns on and starts sucking, but the oil does not rise 30 cm, after which the pump stalls. After it cools down you can turn it back on and it won't suck up more than a foot. The hose was not leaking. I am not returning the item as it contains dirty oil including the hose. I take it as a loss, but I'd rather save someone else money by posting this review.

Bought to change the oil in my boat. It didn't work right out of the box. I connected it to the battery and flipped the switch. nothing happened except that the wires began to heat up. I removed the front plastic cover and found that the pump impeller cover, which is held in place with three screws, is too tight and is preventing the mechanism from turning. I coated the screws with some Loctite and then simply "pressed" them against the O-ring. Now it works fine. Simple solution, hope this…

It's cheap. Everything about it is cheap. But works out of the box for what I'm looking for. This is the first day. Let's see what happens after the first use and try to use it again in a week. I bought this pump to drain engine oil from a 3500w Champion alternator and lawnmowers with a 6.5hp Briggs and Stratton vacuum engine. The pump worked well for a lawn mower. I had trouble getting the hose to the bottom of the generator motor oil pan and drained the oil into the pan the old fashioned way. I used the pump to add new oil to the generator motor and it worked. excellent - I pumped oil from liter bottles into the small and hard-to-reach filler neck of the generator motor. Can't speak

If like me you change the oil in your outboard yourself, this little pump could be your ticket to making it easier. Because I keep my boat on the lake on a skid lift (not a trailer) I can only do limited maintenance myself - oil and filter changes, fuel filters, etc.).
