Save $$$ by doing it yourself!

The local Honda dealer charged me $55 to replace this engine air filter when the part was actually only $8 at Revain. Because of this, people are starting to change engine oil, engine air filter and cabin filter themselves as it is easy and saves money. Car dealers (especially Mercedes) charge too much for this simple service!

A good product. Good price!

Delivered on time. The products fit perfectly. I received a discount for buying an air filter and a cabin filter at the same time. And they were MUCH cheaper than the three local stores I shopped at before ordering. I don't usually change the cabin filter because I just don't think about it. Offering a discount to buy both is actually beneficial as it reminds me to replace both at the same time.

Pros
  • Easy assembly
Cons
  • boring packaging

Good filter, great price!

I have a Honda CRV and my local department store doesn't have an air filter for it and auto parts stores are too expensive. I found this filter at Revain and gave it a try. It has arrived and fits perfectly and is virtually indistinguishable from the big brand I use. I live and travel on all paved roads and the hardest thing my filter encounters is pollen, a few leaves and bugs. I change once a year according to the timetable. If I lived in a harsher area I would choose a better brand but for…

Far better than other after-sales quality at a much better price.

Was a bit skeptical at first having burned parts for Honda and Toyota products in the past but decided to take a chance with this product as I also need a cabin air filter and Revain Prime. It would be with me in 48 hours with no shipping costs, plus it was cheaper than Fram, Wix and Purolater products from your local parts store or Wal-Marche. Quality wise this product is better than an OEM and as an engineer you know I would appreciate it. Better product for less money? sale !

Saves time and money.

This is the second time I have bought this filter. When I first bought it, it took hours to install due to a misleading YouTube video. This time it took about 15 minutes. The most time consuming part of the installation is loosening and reinstalling the clamps and hose. There is a fifth port on a 2011 Honda CRV behind the filter cover. It is made differently than the other 4 on the sides. You can't see it and should only work by touch. This 5th bar was not mentioned in the 2011 video but was…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Easy installation, high quality

Air filters are a job that you should always do yourself to save money. When they inspected my car, they charged $133 to replace the engine and cabin air filters. I almost snorted in the guy's face because I'm not very good at holding back my laughter when I hear something really funny. The replacement takes literally 5 minutes including opening the box that contained the filter and discarding the old filter. I used this on my 2010 Honda CRV and it was a very easy install. Simply loosen the…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast

Perfect fit for 2011 Honda CRV.

This engine air filter is perfect for my 2011 Honda CRV but costs a lot less than having a mechanic replace it. The job of changing the filter is to unlock the 4(?) latches that hold the air filter cover in place. The unlocking process is simple. It is difficult to remove the air filter cover just far enough to make room to remove the old filter and install the new one. After carefully maneuvering the filter cover to make room, the old filter is removed and the new one easily inserted. The…

  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • No Instructions

Works as just described. Fit perfectly like OEM.

I just bought a low mileage 2010 Honda CR-V. The first thing I do after buying a new used car is change the air filter. I change the air filter once a year. I do it myself because it's one of the easiest things to do to a car. No special tools or skills required! Just open the hood of your car and you will easily see the air filter box. Whenever I go to a mechanic for an oil filter, they say they also recommend replacing the air filter, which they charge at least $20-$25 for. This method is…
