You can calibrate it

Bought about a year ago but only used a couple of times because it was inaccurate, about 3psi higher than it should be. Having recently googled and found that an identical Milton inflator can be calibrated I thought I'd give this one a try. Both blocks appear to be identical. Basically, unscrew the large pan head screw, remove 2 washers (one plastic and one rubber) and pull out the brass graduated cylinder. Using a flathead screwdriver, remove the cap from the top of the brass graduatedโ€ฆ

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Not the most accurate but good enough

Was accurate at target (35psi) for our car tires and showed 4lbs less at 65psi for our bikes. So not quite linear; But knowing this, I only intentionally fuel bikes at 4psi. If that wasn't my 'golden spot', unlike some brands this can be adjusted, but be aware that in my experience it can only meet the standard at a certain point, so not 'calibrated' can be. . " with strict rules. the meaning of the term. I really wish it had a lower range gauge (I'm actually very happy that it reads correctlyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Doubtful

Gauge calibration

Build quality is pretty good, like Milton units. However, as mentioned earlier, the inner edge of the hose guide has sharp edges that have not been finished after machining, so it is best to remove the hose and file it yourself to avoid damaging the hose over time. The accuracy for the one I received was 2psi. high over the scale as verified by my annually calibrated NIST traceable standard. Gauge calibration is easy. Proceed as follows: 1. Remove the end cap at the end of the hose guide2โ€ฆ

Pros
  • 6 inch dual head chrome chuck
Cons
  • Update available

The quality meets all my expectations. Fittings, hose and pressure gauge itself industrial/high quality. For some reason only one of the two inflation valves has a locking mechanism. The one with its back to you snaps onto the Schrader valve with internal grooves (essentially internal threads). The other has a smooth trunk. Not sure if this was intentional. Not that this is a defect on this particular product, but I would like all inflation valves of this type to work to show the pressure inโ€ฆ

Pros
  • . Inflating tires requires an air pump/compressor.
Cons
  • A lot

Super quality, everything works and the price is reasonable!

I have a good air compressor and I always check the air pressure in our cars and on my tractor. I wanted a tire inflator with a built in pressure gauge and wasn't impressed with the round dials so I bought this. It is solidly made and of very good quality. The device has a double chuck to attach the compressor to the air nozzle of your tire. It has a liquid filled pressure gauge which in my case was accurate to 1 PSIG. I have checked the accuracy with a good quality digital tire pressure gaugeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 1/4 in. female NPT inlet. 12 inch air hose
Cons
  • unreliable
