Not very impressed with office electronics

I have a few comments about this product: a) the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing; the so-called charge indicator continues to flash even after several hours of connection. Does this device really have a battery? b) I had to install the software twice to see it in my desktop programs?! c) Scanning a multi-page job is very tedious and requires constant user input. everything, micros usb cable is too short for a desktop pc! e) This product should come with a storage case like a

Do not buy this item!

I can't say it's enough. Do not buy this item! I bought this scanner to replace my favorite Scansnap which wasn't working with the horrible Windows 10. It was a problem from the start. The installation didn't go as smoothly as I would have liked. After repeated uninstalls and downloading updated drivers, I finally got it working. on the scanner itself. The quality of the scans is satisfactory; Fuzzy letters on scanned documents, uneven brightness throughout the document. The most annoying…

Decent portable scanner

This scanner does exactly what I needed, which is scanning short documents, cards and random receipts. Formfeed is a little finicky, and it's easy to accidentally knock a page out of a mess. Fortunately, the software makes it easy to rescan a page (just "add" another page) and remove errors before saving the final copy of the scanned image. and other similar uncritical documents, I have not aggressively checked the image quality. The scanned pages met my requirements. A few snaps I tried came…

Ready to use

Working from home I need the ability to scan forms so I can send them to colleagues to get work done. I usually take a picture with my phone and then send an email from there. However, it took too long and the quality of the document deteriorated. I received the Epson DS-70 today, downloaded the software, connected the device with the USB cable that came with it, adjusted the image quality settings and was on my way to scanning the documents I wanted to send. It's a small device, but it does a…

Adjust the pain - use a protective cover when scanning!

In general, I am satisfied with this scanner. We bought it for distance learning as we need to present our work at the end of the day. However, I noticed a few things about this scanner that are good to know: - Only scan printed documents or penciled jobs if you don't have a cover sheet to scan or don't want to do wet sheet maintenance. - Black and white scanning is very limited (see attached comparison between greyscale, black and white and color). The software installation disk is not…

Not good for office electronics

There are several issues with this scanner. Most of them are software related, so there is a small chance that this will be fixed in the future. Using alternative scanning software can also help avoid some problems. The only problem the software definitely cannot solve is the width of the scanner aperture - it's too narrow for some letter/legal paper. 75-90% of the blades are fine, but those on the broader side of the spec tolerances are too big to fit. Main software issues: 1. The scanner is…
