Working from home I need the ability to scan forms so I can send them to colleagues to get work done. I usually take a picture with my phone and then send an email from there. However, it took too long and the quality of the document deteriorated. I received the Epson DS-70 today, downloaded the software, connected the device with the USB cable that came with it, adjusted the image quality settings and was on my way to scanning the documents I wanted to send. It's a small device, but it does a good job of handling documents. This is a single document scanner, so you must feed one page at a time. Not a deal breaker as you can add a few pages before the job is done. It doesn't perform like your more expensive desktop scanners, but it's portable and inexpensive, so think of it as a simple, no-frills machine. It's not a two-sided scanner. So if your documents are two-sided, you'll have to scan both sides individually (again, no big deal). If you are looking for an inexpensive scanner that comes ready to use, I would recommend this scanner.
