Efficient Document Scanner for Home Office

This scanner has made my life so much easier since I purchased it! The wireless feature makes scanning documents onto my computers a breeze. The software is user-friendly and allows me to easily organize and save all of my scanned documents. The only downside is that it can be a bit bulky and take up a decent amount of desk space. Overall, I highly recommend this scanner for anyone who needs to efficiently handle document scanning in their home office.

Doesn't scan directly to online services

Overall the scanner is very compact, works fast and has worked well in the short time I've had it. However, I bought this scanner to scan directly to cloud services. Especially Google Drive. This scanner will not scan to any service without using a computer, although online tutorial videos show that it can be configured to do so. Spent 45 minutes with Epson tech support and they blamed the updated Mac software. So I wanted to see if that's the case. After I hung up, I installed the scanner on…

Epson installer crashes, Epson software does not recognize scanner, glacial scan speed >300 DPI

Epson installer (ES500W_Combo_AM.dmg) does not work on macOS 10.13.4 (latest version). You can download and install the components individually, but once you've installed them you'll need to run the Epson Software Update to install the Abby scanning software (there's no download for it). ABBYY software actually works, but Epson "Epson Scan 2" scanning software does not... it does not recognize the scanner. Neither can the Epson Scan 2 utilities.
