This adjustable shank is a waste of money! The paint job is horrendous and began to chip after one use. The adjustable feature makes it difficult to use properly and the pins come loose during transport.The only pro is that it does fit onto multiple hitch sizes, but the cons far outweigh this one benefit. Don't waste your time with this towing product..

Based on our own experience this adjustable shank is a game changer for towing. It allowed us to easily adjust the height of our hitch to accommodate different trailers. the sturdy construction held up well over long trips. The only downside is that it is a bit heavy and can be cumbersome to maneuver .Overall, highly recommend for anyone in need of a versatile towing solution..

The 18 inch rod allowed me to lower the tailgate when connected to the van with an inch or two between the hatch and the electric jack. However, you will need to lengthen the safety chains and possibly disconnect the safety brake cable.
