There was a $6k ONKRON G140 bracket previously; my thoughts on it are here. It seems obvious that the heavy ergotron was chosen by the gods over silumin slag. All I have is the leg of this bracket to rely on if intruders break into my apartment and start shooting at me with a pistol. I'd like to hear more about the negatives. A year and a half ago, I purchased it on eBay for $20,000, including the $1,500 EMNIP fee. In our retail establishment, the price tag read $25,000 back then. The asking…

Pros
  • Material - no silumin, as in 90% of brackets on the market * Easy installation of leg segment rotation limiters * Convenient cable route for wiring to the monitor * Durability despite the presence of moving parts * Zero backlash * Large monitor weight margin * Up to 18 kg
Cons
  • While cheaper, less sturdy brackets may allow you to mount your screen higher, the maximum height with this setup is lower.

Rock. for TV accessories

Great product except for one thing. When a heavy monitor is attached, it's almost impossible to remove. You need to find a way to support the monitor's weight, and then loosen the smaller screws holding the monitor itself. You'd think the monitor would just come loose with such a mount, but the tension captivates it. Maybe graphite grease before installing the monitor?

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Available in white only

Suitable for Wacom 27QHD and Wacom Flex Arm.

Looks like Wacom is just a rebranded Ergotron as it fits perfectly allowing me to attach my Wacom 27QHD to my new Wacom Flex Arm which seems to only fit the new Cintiq Pro 22 and 32 inches . The spring is a little stronger than I technically need but I was very impressed and very happy that it fits perfectly as Wacom doesn't offer that option.

Should be included with the hand.

I'm glad this solution is available but hate that I have to pay extra for a spare part to support the Odyssey G9. Basically, I threw away the "regular" hinge that came with the lever. This item should only be standard with a handle. Worth it in the end. Guess I really can't get worked up about spending an extra $100 after dropping a few thousand on a monitor. It works exactly as it's supposed to.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Some minor issues

Expensive, but perfect for g9

Very solid. A big piece of metal and a huge spring. It's actually just a spring that supports the weight of the monitor. You wouldn't have to deal with this at all if the hinge was indexed instead of a plain joint. Considering this pretty much only applies to the Odyssey g9, I was surprised at how difficult it was to line up the screw holes and how short the screw threads were. It was also difficult to align the mount with the arm considering how heavy the monitor is, so a second person came in

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Something different

Not the same pitch as the standard hinge

Just a warning in case you like or need the angle of the standard hinge. I'm not sure if I just caught a defective one or if the heavy-duty swivel is actually much more restricted in its inclination. Your 3D animation in the product description shows MUCH more tilt than mine. For me, a stronger hinge defeats the purpose if I can't tilt it as much as I need to. The figure shows how much more the standard version is tilted compared to the heavy version. Standard is unassembled in the picture…
