I've been using them for years and see no reason to use anything else. The locking mechanism works well for using sockets in transit, but usually leaves them unlocked when my socket sets are left on my reel. There are good aluminum organizers on the market, but they aren't as versatile as this one, especially if you work in the field.

These outlet organizers are great to use. After years of sorting outlets, these outlet organizers come with size tags and when you open the drawer you'll immediately notice the correct outlet. The design is low enough that standard sockets do not exceed the height of the box. If I had more outlets I would buy more of these organizers as needed.

The only problem is the locking mechanism. It looks kind of cheesy and I'm not sure it will hold up over time. As of now I have four rails and they hold the sockets as they should. Very good value for money. I paid as much for one rake as for four and here I am. They'll get the job done for a fraction of the cost.

I have finally found a socket rail that will securely hold a 1/2" drive, deep power socket when the rail is moved/relocated. People who have answered my question about whether the Shock Sockets remain on that track - your positive response motivated me to make a purchase in my book and I suspect the track will last for many years to come.

Bought to store power sockets. I have a few spots until I fill them up so there's plenty of room for me. I like the twist lock to hold the sockets. The other magnetic rails always pick up so much dirt and chips and then these things always fall off when I'm standing under a car. But not with these Ernst screw caps. I can easily blow off anything that might fall on her. So far they are holding up well after several years of use a few times a week. Happy with the purchase.

I just switched from Hansen outlet organizers, now I like the fact that Hansen organizers have a tall center post with the size of the outlet on it, but I didn't like the outlet down and that the Hansen trays were different sizes. What I like about Ernst Socket Bosses is that the 1/2, 3/8 and 1/4 trays are the same size and I don't mind if the socket size isn't on the pole because I'm long enough technicians have worked so I can look at the size and choose the right one in most cases. Love the fact you can put impact nuts on them and they STAY CLOSED EVEN WHEN TURNED SIDE DOWN. Simply TURN and CLOSE. As is well known, power sockets are usually heavier! I also love the fact that they have their own self contained rail trays to keep everything together, you can take the rails out of the trays if needed too!
