Great low profile switch so it blends into the dash without sticking out like a 70's toggle switch. Ignore other reviews about the lack of a schematic. The designation is on the back of the switch next to the terminals: + - (red and black ;-) ) NO (normally open) NC (normally closed) C (common).

I recently bought 6 of these to use as on/off switches for 12v car alternators. Four switches failed after a 30 day return period so I bought 4 more to replace them and then 2 more broke. I took everything out and installed another brand using the same harnesses/cables/etc and they worked with no problems. I would not recommend these switches.

The knob was very easy to install and works great for my application to control some of the LED lights on my truck. I installed it on the dash of my 2003 Yukon Denali and it's wired to control my green strobe lights which I use when answering emergency calls as I volunteer with the local emergency services. I followed a wiring diagram that has a green LED all the time so I can hop in the truck at night and see the button to press.

Works for which I wanted. But it's always nice when the finished product looks nice, and this part has been processed with some imperfections on the switch. Given the polished black look, the small chips/dents on the metal button really stand out. So sad but not worth asking for a refund or even ordering a new switch and taking the damn dash apart again to fix it. I used some black polish and a clear coat to hide it as much as possible.

YELLOW WIRE: Not needed. RED-BLUE WIRE: Twist for the accessory you want. And so that the blue LED also lights up when you press the button. Or twist red and green together and the LED will always be on! GREEN WIRE: positive (+)! and BLACK WIRE is grounded (-), I took a little test, but I understand! Will buy more. These switches are great. I used three of these in a shelving project I did 8 months ago. Since then they have been constantly connected and used every night multiple times per night for two night lights and a changing table light. They are made of high quality metal and have an excellent build quality. They shine beautifully. They are not too bright but just right.
