    So far this has been a great thermometer. I use it to read the surface temperature of candles I test for sale to make sure they stay within safety limits.

    I used it as a candy thermometer!

    I use this product for Christmas to make sweets! Everything has become perfect. I would say very accurate. The Candy Thermometer does not fall into the pan. No sticky candy thermometer to clean. I give five stars.

    Not for measuring human temperature

    I received this thermometer and it gave me inaccurate readings. I contacted the company and apparently it's not for "people". Came back to the product page and the very last sentence says it can't be used on humans 🙄🙄🙄

    OMG, the best toy for cats.

    I didn't know it was the best cat toy. Most cat laser pointers have a hard, pointed button that starts to hurt after a while. It's a TRIGGER so you never get tired! .this and you can see how hot the floor is. I forgot that this is primarily an IR thermometer, because actually. It's a toy for cats and at a surprisingly low price.

    High quality and ease of use

    Accurate, easy to use, easy to replace battery (one included). Pressing the button turns the laser on/off if you don't want to turn it on. Automatically turns off and turns on with a single press of the shutter button. I bought it to make candles and wax cakes. Remember that it only captures the temperature of an object's SURFACE, so there's no point in using it for specific things. Very happy with the purchase.

    Women, be careful, your husband measures EVERYTHING

    Husband's new "toy" It's very handy, gives you a quick temperature reading (VERY handy with the back box on the van) and also shows you where the wires are behind the wall. The husband could not tear himself away for several hours, ran around and took the temperature. I even used it at the BBQ that day. We keep it handy and use it often. Worth what we paid for it.

    Shame about the competition

    This product does the job within about 3 degrees of my initial testing. Shame on companies like Fluke that make products of the same quality but charge ten times more! A bit disappointed that it requires 9v batteries as I haven't used 9v batteries in about a decade. It also comes with a battery which is an excellent deal! It is very easy to use, just hold the trigger and then release to lock the temperature. The packaging is also minimalist and beautiful for just under $20.
