I bought this cable on purpose because it was flat and stuck to the wall I was going to run it through. When I connected the end of the cable to my switch the clip broke, ok no big deal right? I'm a network engineer so I thought "hey I have hundreds of ends, I can just cut off the broken end and plug in a new RJ45 jack" ever seen! Wires resemble a single strand of fiberglass. Needless to say I wasted my money and time, this cable is beyond repair and now it's a total junk, I think I should have

My cable was cut in half!

I like how thin this cable is and it takes up less space than a standard Category 6 cable. One day I turned on my computer and noticed that my internet wasn't working. I was very frustrated so I decided to troubleshoot and was told to connect a Cat6 cable. Confused, I went to my router, rebooted it, unplugged the cable, and then plugged it back in. At first I thought my router was broken, but found that the cable had been severed at the pinch point and was no longer working as it was split in…

Good standard ethernet cable

Like many others, I now work from home. I have a great Wi-Fi setup but needed something for some work devices that don't support Wi-Fi so I grabbed this cable to run ethernet from my main router to the spare bedroom I now use as my home office . This cable does the job as you would expect. Nothing special. I have small complaints so I gave it 4 stars. Thing is tangled up like crazy. The only thing I can compare it to is the thin ribbon that gifts are wrapped in. If you've ever unwound some of…

You probably don't need 100 feet. but if it does it's great

speeds seem high. My internet is limited to 100 Mbit/s (14 MB/s), but basically no network cable should limit this bandwidth. Also, the ping is as low as it should be, around 2ms for my network in San Diego compared to around 15 for Wi-Fi. After a while I always have to buy a new long Ethernet cable. Fat people are a nuisance and I think they lead to their own downfall because they are fat. They get stepped on, bent, restricted at the end with extra slack, etc. It's important that each end of…

Exactly what I needed!

I just bought a house where unfortunately DSL is the only Internet connection. And of course, the only outlet available is in the kitchen. I bought one of these cables to run from the modem/router, through the kitchen cabinets, behind the fridge, down into the pantry and down into the unfinished basement where I have another router that distributes the internet to the rest of the house . via cat6 for 1GB network speed (no internet). Sounds like pain. This works better than trying to replicate…
