There are some bugs, sometimes AM doesn't match or doesn't work at all when you turn it on for the first time, then when you fiddle with the dials it works again, it happens every time and then it's mostly good, weird. Most annoying is the dull nasty squeak when you press any button, it can be turned off by pressing the big long button on top of the radio for a few seconds when the radio is off. I have several portable HF radios (Grundig YB400pe and Kaito DE1101). I bought this mainly because of the larger speaker compared to others. Shortwave performance with the whip is superior to my Yacht Boy with the reinforced sling. This was a great radio for about two hours. But after two hours of listening, the entire AM/SW side died out. This is bad. It's good. I like the size of the radio and the sound quality.
