Moves a lot of water

The problem with the squeegee is that the curvature makes it very difficult to push hard enough not to leave water behind. You also need a very strong pole, which is why I broke my first one. You have to press really really hard to make sure you are squeezing all the water. It pushes out a lot of water, even more than any other mop I've had. Also great is that it is very well built and has a very strong and hard rubber blade so you have to press on it so you don't take turns losing water. Don't

It once worked on household items

Rubber blade: too thick and hard. That doesn't go with the slight fluctuations on the tennis court. Pushing the water worked once - after that it rumbled across the surface without pushing the water. The water pulling worked better; it still required a lot of effort. I replaced the blade with a softer material (two thicknesses of 1/4" closed cell foam). It works great now. Also: nuts and bolts hold the wiper blade, you need a screwdriver AND a wrench. I used the screws on the blade holder…

Pros
  • . Handle not included - use Ettore handle #42105, #61060, #1628 or #1629.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

DO NOT USE WITH RECOMMENDED BROOM

I bought it with the recommended wooden broom and ended up stabbing myself in the stomach several times. The ends of the wide squeegee catch and cause the thin wooden handle to bend, the only way to stabilize the handle is to squeeze it directly at belly button level. This works well until the whole scraper comes to rest on the floor and the end of the handle hits the belly painfully. Grip flex is not encouraged by the design, there are no reinforcement braces, and the grip bushing is short so…

Pros
  • Zinc plated steel construction.

The right tool for the job

This tool doesn't lay flat on the surface like some reviewers say. It also can't be made to flex anything, as some other reviewers have said. However, the rubber blade is thick and tough, probably durable. With use, the outer edges wear away, allowing the center of the blade to make closer contact with the surface being mopped. This tool didn't work as well as I thought it would for the purpose I bought it for, but it didn't work. Fault. Rather, the problem was an uneven surface that I was…
