This unit is solidly built, has many features and is reasonably priced. Overload protection and status display. This will help locate the short circuit immediately. There is enough power for my camera system and the device is absolutely silent (no fan, no noise). It has useful indicators for input and output power on the front and even has a few features I don't need (internal on/off switch, key lock) but they might be useful to others and they don't get in the way. This device is a really good device for its price. I really don't have much to complain about (not much to complain about). First, as with many devices in this class and other electronics, there are many Chinese-made and obviously unique items.
