10AN Fittings: Fittings

No problem. Works like big brands at a lower price. So what's the name if you can buy them because all you want to do in the first place is get your line working again.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some flaws

Low quality but low price to match this handy item

It wasn't a good photo to see but at the 90 outside bend the material shrank and deformed (possibly microcracks) from the bend. You won't see this in a quality product like Earl's Hardware. But the same faucet at Earl's is about three times as big. I only use it for vapor so no pressure is applied. I wouldn't put pressure on these fittings. But for the price I would buy it again for use in steam applications like crankcase ventilation.

Cons
  • No performance

DO NOT USE AS A BUTTON CONNECTOR

I have had original Aeroquip hoses and fittings for oil filter changes for many years. Clean lock. Without accessories. handles peaks of 60-70 psi without dripping a single drop. These fittings. do not do that. I ended up using PowerGrip fittings on them after they fell off during an engine warm up test. At least I didn't drive anywhere and was able to turn off the engine before it spat all 6 liters onto the floor. Idle for hours after PowerGrip shrink fittings and pull to see if they come…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Having problems

They are NOT equivalent to Russell Twist Lok fittings, see below.

I want to write this review to save someone from the mistake I made. First off I would like to say that if you read the instructions these fittings work as advertised. They are used to attach hoses to these clamps. And for the price they do the job if you use hose clamps. I mistakenly bought these thinking they were equivalent to Russell's Twist-Lok system for -10AN fittings. You are not. The oil line came loose from my oil cooler a few weeks after installation because I didn't realize you had…

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
