Unacceptable materials and workmanship. I saw it break on the first job but managed to use it for about 3 oil changes before finally breaking completely. Using a 3/8" adapter will break immediately, so a head was used, but the mold surface does not match the head well.

Works great. Notches fit over the oil filter for a secure fit. There was one guy who complained that the ratchet section was weak and broke when he unscrewed the oil filter cap. But he must have plated it because it's a reliable product. Perfect fit for my 2015 LEXUS RX 350.

High quality key specially for Toyota. The wrench is solid aluminum, not stamped sheet metal, which always warps and slips when trying to unscrew an over-tightened filter. The notches on the base fit snugly into the filter housing and its design eliminates the possibility of filter loosening.

Use this thing on those damn oil filters that are ridiculously stuck to the oil filter housing. This thing is amazing as it can take a massive amount of torque if you use an external 27mm socket with a 1/2" pry bar. DO NOT use the 3/8" hole to remove stubborn filters as this will damage the tool. I learned this the hard way, so don't you either!

As others have said this is a well made tool. However, the one I received CANNOT use a 27mm socket - it uses a 24mm socket or even better a 15/16 socket. Maybe make it smaller. I ordered a 27mm head at the same time as this tool, so the 27mm head was wasted. I would recommend everyone to supply the tool first and then see what socket size is right for the job.

This oil filter wrench is a complete mess. I have no idea if the rest of the reviews are (probably) fake. It's made of cheap white metal that breaks easily. It broke the first time I used it. I just went to Oreilly Auto and bought a replacement Toyota Pennzoil steel oil filter wrench for $9.99. Works like a charm, don't waste your money on this junk. It s cheap. The key for the oil filter must be made of steel. It must not be white metal or plastic.

I think it's a quality end product. I've only used it once so I can't comment on how long it will last if someone uses it every day. Fits right, not tight and not loose, just right. When I used this tool, I found that the factory mechanics had overtightened the cap on the oil filter housing because the oil filter housing rotated at the same time as the cap. I put about 12 ft-lbs on the lid and 24 ft-lbs on the body. I know I will only use this tool once a year. This should last the life of my…
