Works as intended and is required to repair/replace anything that requires removal of the serpentine belt. It fits snugly in a 2006 Cooper S R53 with an automatic transmission. I used a 9 inch long galvanized steel bar instead of the short pin that came with this tool. The included stylus is too short to be used in such a small limited space for my application.

Although this product is very practical and useful, it is not easy to handle it alone. I would recommend having someone pull the bar while you insert the key as it's easier to tell them to pull than to tell them where the key goes. Make sure you keep the bar centered as you pull back. If you tilt it slightly to the right or left, it can easily come off. The product is certainly solid and well built. Super helpful.

The same tool from Mini is insanely expensive, and even from a third party like Pelican Parts it's over $100.
