Excalibur Electronic NY53CS Sudoku Screen Review

The handheld game is a great pastime to keep boredom at bay during long commutes. Based on our own experience, the sleek design makes it easy to hold and the puzzles are challenging enough to keep you entertained for hours. The game also comes with multiple difficulty levels and the option to play with pen or pencil. However, the screen may be a bit small for those with poor eyesight. Overall, a perfect addition to your Toys and Games collection.

I really like this game. I think the instruction manuals could be improved - I didn't find them very explanatory. My only real "complaint" is the placement of the "1". It appears on the far right of each square and is difficult to see, especially from the right side of the device. But I think it's a great product.

Puzzles of really different complexity, I think all of them can be solved without guessing. I couldn't get just a few of the 100+ I made. (There are about 900 puzzles in it.) The touchscreen works well with a stylus. The pen holder also works well; I haven't actually lost it and it's been a year. I tried not to scratch the screen. It's just plastic, but recessed. I don't know if it will survive in harsher environments. There's no backlight, so you'll need a point light source to see the screen…
