Competes with the IR for half the cost

There has been an older Aircat in my father's shop for the past 7 years which I have used on occasion. They picked it up as a test run, and it has held its own against the other IR guns and is still doing so, despite several years of daily use in an auto shop. Recently, when faced with the decision of what gun to buy for my farm shop, I compared some options, and settled on this one because of the price (it is quite a bit cheaper than the IR 2135 I was looking at) and because of it's history…

Pros
  • Use almost every day love this gun.
Cons
  • May be too powerful for some tasks

5 stars for Aircat.

This came just in time for a transmission and oil pan removal in a nissan pathfinder. If you have never deal with this suv, you basically have to disasemble the whole front of the vehicle, including the front transaxle (is a 4x4), the exhaust , the starter and a whole bunch other stuff just to be able to lower the aluminum oil pan. Then you have to lower the transmission if you want to replace the rear main seal assembly. This aircat made of all those rusted bolts a breeze, including the ones…

absolute Beast of a tool

i bought this gun looking to replace my Harbor Freight impact cause it just didnt havde the power I needed as a professional automotive technician. I was constantly running into rusted bolts and lug nuts and couldnt get them to break free. I have Aircat 3/8 air ratchet and love it so I decided to look at the impact guns. Decided on the Aircat 1150 torque killer and let me just say I WAS NOT LET DOWN. The power this thing has is incredible and for the price its an absolute steal. I often find my

$150!? I'll take three!

I had originally seen this in a sears catalog some years ago. Sears wanted almost double, but it was a great looking tool. So I researched it for a long time. I decided that it was a product worthy of my purchase. And if not I knew that amazon would take it back. I received the gun the next day because I wanted it so badly. I was so happy, before I even used it I knew that it was the real deal. It is built like a tank. Then I took it outside and rotated my tires about nine times. My smile was…

Great Gear. in my review

If you are agonizing over torque specs vs cost look no further. Our shop is heavy on the top took truck gear we use has brand and use lots of battery gear. Aircat is a go to for air tools.

Pros
  • Great impact not to noisey. Make sure you have enough air to run it
Cons
  • Higher price point than some competitors

Powerful Wrench - tons quieter and more air efficient.

So my HF Earthquake finally broke and I sought replacement. Well this wrench was a little more money that most but I decided to take a gamble. With what we do for work a good air wrench is a requirement. So I bought this Aircat 1150 and when I first got it I thought wow this is so overkill. It seemed so strong and fast I thought it would be a waste. However I have now had this for a month and love it.It is much more powerful than the HF Earthquake wrench. I don't mean a little bit . I mean this

Pros

Cons

A steal for the price

I'm a mechanic at an ATV dealership and have been using this gun almost daily for over a month and I absolutely love it. I was previously using a cheap $50 impact that was supplied to me when I started working there 8 years ago but it struggled even with over tightened lug nuts and would not budge other parts on the machines forcing me to constantly borrow the other guys tool truck impacts and it's safe to say I've used just about every model and brand they produce. Finally decided to upgrade…

Reliable, Powerful, and Inexpensive Impact Gun

After a year, two months, and roughly 1600 tire rotations (as well as a handful of shock absorber-control arm mounting bolts and other high-torque applications), I think it's safe to say I'm quite pleased with this fine impact gun, and can vouch for its quality. The selector still moves smoothly and stays in place, the hammers do what they're supposed to. well, suffice to say I haven't had to have it replaced or attempt any repairs on it. I've made sure to oil it before its first use each day…

Lots of power! - my new review

I had to drill out wheel rotors for larger studs. This was able to pull all the studs through. It was also used to remove a bolt that had been treated with an extreme locking fluid. I could not loosen the bolt by hand. This pulled it right out. A++

Pros
  • ‎1295 Foot Pounds
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in tight spaces

Daily extreme use for almost six years

Have had this for almost six years, and it has served me well. Used daily on heavy duty trucks, and through the years have only ran into a hand full of things it couldn't handle. It out-performed almost any other air impact, and got used hard. Can't believe it even made it this long, but finally had to put it down. Ordered a Nitrocat 1250 to take it's place, hopefully it does just as well.

Pros
  • ‎No
Cons
  • Can only be used where there is access to an air compressor

It pretty much replaced my breaker bar!

I had a staked gm pinion nut that my other impact could not budge during my last attempt last year.My other impact would not budge the thing, breaker bar was also of no help.So i gave up on trying to change that pinion seal. Now i have the car apart again for some more upgrades, the leak is getting worse, so it's on my mind again. My other impact can do 350lbs, so i decide to try this impact before i break down and pull the rearend and pay someone to remove the nut.It took me about 10min to get…

Best value for it's grade!

While doing my new year shopping(2022) to upgrade my impact wrench, I found Best Buy shopping history showed I bought this back in 2015, I think it's time to give it a review. I bought this when I first entering a European dealership. From lug bolts to subframe bolts or even axle nuts were even hard for the this AirCat, 4.5 pound is still light on the market today, 1295 ft/lbs can loose the same bolt and do the same job Snap-On can do. If you are entering the mechanic field or just got a…

Wish I had bought this sooner!

Two or three weeks prior to ordering this impact I ordered front and rear struts for my wifes Ford Taurus and front struts for my F150. I decided to tackle the Taurus first. Front struts took some time but not really a hard job. Decided to wait until the next morning to do the rear struts. Well.hmmmm.let's just say the rear struts were DIFFICULT! I had never before that day spent five hours removing one bolt. Yes five hours. Sure there were breaks in between the pounding, heating, oiling and I…

Perfect DIY Impact, Best Purchase of the Year.

It's rare I'll take the time to write reviews for things, especially things that already have a 5 star review. So here's my take on this wrench:If you're just doing lug nuts then this wrench is overkill. Any cheap 250 ft/lb impact will handle that without issue assuming they were properly torqued on in the first place. This wrench won't speed anything up under the hood either, unless you're removing a crank bolt on a harmonic balancer. Impact guns don't belong in the engine bay- for that you…
