Excellent Tool for Air Flow Testing

Measured air speed and temperature with ease. The unit provided accurate and consistent readings for fan testing in multiple locations. As a result of my tests, I determined that this tool is reliable and efficient. The device buttons were not intuitive at first, however, after short experimenting, they were easy to use. Highly recommend this product for industrial and scientific use.

    Pros
    • Accurately measures air velocity and temperature
    Cons
    • Requires skill and training to use effectively

    No hot wire anemometer.

This is not actually a hot wire anemometer. The sensor element is encapsulated, so the transition is very slow. It would be nice to use HVAC.

    Pros
    • Airflow and Air Quality
    Cons
    • Out of fashion

    Solid State Meter - Anemometer

John is right on every count. However, I need it for the HVAC, for example to work with very low air speeds. The values on the display change frequently, this is helped by the averaging function that may be present on more expensive models. The gauge is easy to use, well built and has an impact resistant body. I bought it for its accuracy (obviously the same as more expensive models) and solid construction. There is also a data acquisition port. I like the meter and would buy it again. Hope…

    Pros
    • Check, measure and check
    Cons
    • Available in white only
