I'm happy with it, but I just installed it.

I wanted to take the computer out of the living room, but I still use it in the living room. I'm basically happy with it so far. The only resolution I have is advertised as 1080P, but it is 1080P with some minor artifacts. I was also hoping it would work with Ethernet over a power transmitter, but it doesn't - I don't blame it.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Long delivery

Successful HDMI-O-Cat6 solution

This product has been used for NVR up to 260ft. I tested it at 295ft first and it worked great, no lag, great motion and the ability to accurately select menus and play times. Also tested on a network switch over ubiquitous edge switches and fiber at 500ft, worked exactly the same. Very happy with the product, will definitely use again.

Displayport to HDMI, via extender, HDMI to VGA

I had to use something to extend from the displayport of the graphics card to the monitor (Displayport or VGA) over 100ft. I was only able to get this to work using a DisplayPort to HDMI cable from the computer to the power strip, and then using ONLY an HDMI to VGA adapter and a VGA cable. There seems to be something wrong with cable standards that don't allow switching from HDMI output to DisplayPort input. After all this, I was ONLY able to get my monitor to work at 1366x768. So it works. But

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Very poor quality with misleading description.

Very poor quality with misleading product description. If you only need 720p, this will work. Image quality is obviously compressed, but that's acceptable if you're just doing basic tasks. Try bumping the resolution up to the advertised 1080p and sacrifice contrast or smooth graphics. It looks like 1080 is just compressed to 720 and then compressed at the other end. USB is also very sluggish and almost never used at times. I connected it via 50ft Cat 6 cable and even tried a different cable…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

NOT 1080P - Actually 720P - USB Disconnecting - Alarm Sound

Terrible. If I could give 0 stars here I would. Does not display 1080p as described in the description. USB turns on and off. The receiver makes a sharp scratching sound, like someone is scratching the vinyl while recording something. I don't understand why this product has an average of 4 stars. I gave up on similar KVM extenders based on the quantity and quality of reviews of a semi working product. Details displayed on the screen are pixelated at the edges of certain parts of the screen…

Pros
  • Solid Construction
Cons
  • Repair
