This device can read discs but will not recognize blank discs. I can't save data to blank media. I found many users had similar issues with this brand. Will probably have to buy from another manufacturer.

The product did exactly what I was looking for. Just plug it into your computer and it will launch instantly. I used this to import music CDs and it worked great. Good price!

Great product for Apple computer users as Macs no longer include CD/DVD players. No heavy lifting to install. Simply plugged into a USB port and the computer connected to it and installed. Presto! Suddenly I had access again to CD music that I hadn't been able to play or download for years. Great product at a great price. I haven't tried watching DVDs on it yet, but I think this feature will work as well.

I bought this portable DVD player for school. It works great! It has no batteries, it connects to my computer. The cable is short so the device is close to my computer for easy access. In addition, the cable does not detach from the DVD player, so the cable does not get lost! I am happy with the purchase.

I would give this product an A+ for its current performance but only an A- at best for easy install. Now the CD drive works great, but I was almost frustrated because it repeatedly failed to install on my iMac (you may have to restart your computer a few times). My advice to buyers: "Don't give up; to attempt. It's worth the potential disappointment." I've waited weeks to post this review just to make sure this product continues to provide great service. Possibly the worst and most disappointing product I have ever ordered from Revain. Whenever I watch a DVD, after a period of time (maybe 15 minutes?) it stops playing and jumps to a completely random part of another episode on the DVD. Although this little external DVD drive is a bit primitive in my opinion, due to its sort of "clumsiness" and the fact that there's no real way to play a DVD other than ejecting it electronically with a computer it seems to work just great. Exactly as advertised. I have a new ASUS laptop with Windows 10 and just plugged it in and it worked straight away. No additional programs or drivers are required. It took me just a few minutes to upload three CDs to my iTunes account. However, I discovered one thing. Placing your hand on the top of the drive while it is spinning will eject the drive.
