The pump is excellent. We use it to pump water from our pond into our garden. The garden is 20 feet and over 200 feet high and has excellent flow at the end of the hose. We'll use 1" polypropylene tubing for our transfer tube, then continue with regular 3/4" garden hose. Buy a 3 year old replacement, it will break if you use it as much as we did.

I had to modify the pump to put it in place (bend the bracket) and thereby fix the goods with no chance of return. When I installed it the pump was pumping well but was so noisy I couldn't stand it. Just put it on the shelf and hope it will be useful in the future. Should have read the comments before buying as it was mentioned. Guilty.

I use this pump with inverter and car battery to fill cattle tanks in the field. Works much better than gas pumps which cost twice as much, pump fewer gallons per minute and tend to have few gas engine problems. I've never had a better arrangement than this. Duplication requires a sufficiently large car battery, a 1000/2000W peak inverter and heavy gauge cables (6 AWG minimum) from the battery to the inverter. Worked great for a month. This helped increase water pressure to water our lawn. After a month of use, it started turning on and off regularly. If you read the reviews, others are complaining about this problem. I'll try using it in the summer to see if it gets worse. If you buy this product, it's worth getting an extended warranty. This pump is hooked up to my garden irrigation system. My water source is a 250 gallon tank and I have a pump mounted on top of the tank. It should suck up about 12 inches of water when the tank is full. It is very difficult to fill it. The suction port is on the left side of the pump at an angle. Spout most of the water flows down the side. Luckily, the drain is at the top, so I found that if I removed the drain hose, I could just refill it by pouring water straight into the outlet. and…

The bearing began to fail shortly after use to the point that it overheated and shut off the pump. Initially the pump was really good in terms of suction, pressure and flow. I disassembled it to diagnose the bearing, I will look for a replacement for it. For the price I would have expected a little longer lifespan, it's still brand new. The inlet and outlet of this pump weren't labeled at all and I didn't see anything in the reference material to suggest what was what. I was able to tell this quickly by filling it with water and plugging it in for a second to see where the water was flowing. The entrance is at the end opposite the engine (horizontal), the exit is at the top (vertical), for those interested. While the pump is fairly well made, I've found it has some operational issues. The unit was difficult to fill and service even with the check/bottom valve installed and operating at 2 to 3 feet of vertical lift. As you would expect from a foreign production, the syntax and grammar of the instructions are not very good and you have to distinguish the meaning.
