The high spare wheel holder works well.

For years I put off installing a spare tire carrier on my boat trailer and carried it in the back of a pickup truck. But with the recent addition of the RV, I've had to mount it on a trailer. This bracket protects the tire from damage and also offers sufficient clearance to the boat hull. I also bought larger U-bolts as my trailer is too big, see photo. Since my tires have six studs, I also had to move the bolts in the bracket to match the bolt pattern. My brother-in-law used a hydraulic press…

Warning will not fit 6 stud wheels 5 1/2 " out of box

Description says they will fit 6 stud wheels however the size supplied is for 4 or 5 studs. Says on the box also 4 or 5 lugs and not 6. I called support and was told to put nuts on the bolts holding the tire and hit them with a hammer to move them into the 6 lug holes, I was able to get 3 Got screws out but trying to fit them into 6 eyelet holes at most I was able to get them halfway through for 2 of them. The remaining hole is behind the support bracket so hitting it directly with a hammer…

Very good value for money. But with some criticisms.

I previously bought a 90 bay Fulton luggage rack and only had 1/2 inch between the body and tires. The Fulton was also underpowered and the number of holes was nowhere near 5 by 4 1/2 inches. Extreme Max is great! Robust equipment and at a good price. I gave it a star because it came with (3) rivets installed but NOT the most common size (5 x 4 1/2 inches) so immediately after removing the rivets you created an invitation to rust. The second complaint is that although (3) bolts are supplied…

Very well built and strong! Rigid installation.

Good construction and very strong construction! I really like the angle of the spare wheel. Leaves enough space for the boat. The only problem is that with a 6 bolt wheel like mine you have to change the bolt pattern. Holes for 6 eyelets are already drilled, but the screws are difficult to work with. They're easy to pop out with a hammer, but you'll need a shop press to insert them into the holes. If you're like me, all you need is a dremel and a hammer. I filed the holes a little and also…

The best trailer spare tire mount I have found

This is a fantastic spare tire mount. Its components are solid and the construction is perfect for my fishing boat trailer (the trailer is 18.5 feet long and the boat is 16 feet long). on the ramp. He had such a mount, which consisted of only two threaded brackets. This means the tire was mounted centrally on its trailer frame; too low for my comfort. So I wanted something that would allow the tire to be mounted higher and far enough away from the hull of the boat. I have reviewed different…
