The ring/rod in the top left of the picture came off the anchor part and the anchor was lost twice. The first time was after fishing. We pulled it out and the anchor was there. This is the only anchor I have used with my 18ft anchor. the Bow Rider cutter that held it in place the first time and every time after that! I used it from 5ft. a piece of chain, although the manufacturer says no chain is required. Drop it overboard and give it some length (5:1 recommended) and it'll hold on without too much fuss! And when used in deep water or in weedy conditions, a hard pull on the line releases the flutes to reduce drag or algae build-up, making retrieves that much easier…
