Drills the correct diameter and round hole.

I used it for drilling brass. I drill a hole of the exact diameter. It has a reasonable finish. I can't add any more comments as it hasn't been used long enough to rate it.

Pros
  • tools and housewares
Cons
  • thin

Drills well in metal. exact size

I needed to fit a roof rack to my truck which required drilling 12 holes in the roof. When I started I found that I had to drill through 2 layers to get the appropriate depth, not just one. But this drill went through the second layer just as easily as the first. I have 12 very clean holes. They were the perfect size as the inserts I used fit nice and snug. If you need to drill into a GM truck roof rack, this is the drill bit for the Rivnut inserts. My roof rack is holding up really well…

Pros
  • Power Tool Parts & Accessories
Cons
  • Damaged
