Eh, it can't connect well with the pump

I have this to inflate a reverse osmosis tank. He couldn't get a good handle on the Schrader valve. When he grabbed, he just let the air through. I tried this on a bike schrader valve and ran into the same problem. I must have had a defect. I ordered a different bike pump and had no problems with my reverse osmosis tank or bike.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Not the best

Good price/value. Very convenient.

Very handy pump, especially with a built-in pressure gauge. The downsides are that it's single acting, although much slower than other pumps (like the ones I've replaced with these) and the zero line on the gauge isn't zero but has an offset (if you're comfortable, although you can fix the tape, a marker or a small "cutโ€ with a knife).

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Nothing included

Excellent offer for a domestic pump.

Great pumps! Just pumping up my tires, I tried to understand why some of those weightlifting reviewers said it would give them a chance to train. Then I decided to pump up a completely flat tire for my wife. The trick is to alternate arms so you can build muscle more evenly. :) I use my Walmart brand electric car pump and this thing actually fills a tire faster. Very happy with the purchase.

Should have been replaced.

The pump itself is fine, just what I wanted. The part of the pump that attaches to the tire came out of the hole and when I emailed the seller they told me that's how it should be. This was when I first bought it. I have to hold the part of the pump that attaches to the tire valve and try to inflate it as well to get air. I was just curious if anyone else had the same problem. They should have replaced it when I first bought it.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • boring packaging

Does its job well: Cycling

I had a hard time keeping it from tipping back and forth and detaching from the bike tire, but it gets the job done by putting a little pressure on my exercise bike. Tires. Will this inflate your bike tire from zero to 60psi? Probably not, at least not without considerable effort and sweat. Will it add some PSI to get you home after driving over a spike or nail? More than likely. It's a handy tool to mount on your bike and carry around when needed, but it won't replace a stock air pump.

50% useless, 50% ok

50% useless, 50% ok. Well I'm glad I tested it at home and didn't trust it on the trip. It works well on thick valves, but not at all on thin valves. I followed the instructions exactly, also I have been riding mntn bikes for over 20 years, I have a lot of experience with pumps. I've tried using it on a thin valve, swapped out the components as directed and it just doesn't grip or hold the valve. Extending the lever does not work. There is no support for the valve, it just falls out of theโ€ฆ

Not easy to inflate but bought a second time anyway

Advantages: cheap, small and light, easy to mount on the frame, has a built in pressure gauge and it will inflate new chambers if you come across one. The pumping motion is ergonomically awkward (because you have to maintain pressure on the end of the valve to avoid tearing off the valve stem). I doubt you can get anything over 85psi with this unless you are the world's toughest competitor and going from Presta to Schrader is a pain. However, the positives are enough that after my first one was

Works great as a portable emergency pump

Works great as a portable emergency pump. It never fell off the frame while riding. I can get it up to 40-50psi on my 25mm. With a lot of effort I can raise it to 70 psi. Update: When I drive over bumps, the steering wheel pops out. I tried to fix this by flipping the pump in the mount so the handlebars are up. Bad move. Today the gas pump failed and got stuck in traffic. He was hit by a number of SUVs and is gone. The rest is piecemeal. Edit: Changed to Topeak Pocket Rocket. The pocket rocketโ€ฆ

Perhaps the best small pump in this price range.

Although I would like the valve to be connected via a short hose so I can use this pump as a tiny floor pump and protect the tube valve from damage, I understand that this increases the cost. If you can do without a small hose and can pump with two hands (one to pump and the other to support the pump on the tube valve), this pump is a very good choice. It's just as capable as much more expensive models from Topeak or other brands, and the gauge is accurate enough to get you back on the roadโ€ฆ
