plug is short. The valve cannot be turned on or off when the female crosses the male. . I know it sounds weird but once you know the plumbing details you will understand.

Bought these to replace all my gas valves in the houses I am building, the houses had gas valves the wrong size (1/2) and required ( 5/8). ). They are very good quality and fit as expected.

Plug too short! The gas valve will not work once connected as the nut will prevent it from fully opening! Big manufacturer error. Any plumber will understand what I mean. It's just confusing!

All measurements can be confusing for some people so be aware that the male end is 1/2 inch and the female end is 3 /4". I have an old house and the gas lines are 5/8 and don't seem to be that big anymore, thank goodness I can just use the hose from the old stove.
