I don't know who packaged this but it's good that I looked closely - the item wasn't even in the box, and the small one Plastic disc fused to the envelope. It was definitely a return thrown in an envelope.

These self-piercing valves are not considered the best solution as they can clog over time, but they are fairly easy to install (no soldering required) and work just fine. In my case I replaced an old valve of the same type and had no problems.

Ice maker lines installed. It was easy to install and there was no leakage with the right hoses. Remember that if you are using plastic/vinyl tubing you will need to use a plastic/vinyl compression fitting. Copper compression fittings cut plastic tubing.

I used this to hook up a reverse osmosis water purifier to a countertop and it worked pretty well. I ended up drilling a 3/8" hole in the line to save point on the block, but it has been running for months now and is supplying plenty of water to the reverse osmosis unit.
