Not recommended - can only be used ONCE

I used this to draw and detail an 8" x 10" drawing in alcohol ink and four of the six pens dried before I was finished. A Sharpie would do everything plus a few more drawings. Those expensive pens shouldn't dry out that quickly. Buyer warning!

Fantastic Pens - Drawing Media

These are my favorite pens. Some people swear by the more expensive brand, but I like this one. They never bled or smeared me all over and I have an illness that makes my hands sweat all the time. And I'm left handed. If it were possible to smear this rubbish I would have done it by now, but in my work, smearing is just from spills. They're smooth and pleasant to write on, and this pack's size fits almost anything you do. I love her.

Pros
  • Useful for more than its intended purpose
Cons
  • Secret

Look I don't care where this thing came from but if it doesn't work I look under the label the seller added to hide something: In this case it is instead the Indian market. Again, I wouldn't care, but they dry out mid-stroke, so I suspect they're very old or badly overheated. Stay away and stick to dick blick for your art supplies.

Wonderful! Already backordered

These pens are of excellent quality and come in 4 different ink strengths. This is the perfect rehearsal set. My son attends drawing classes and gives me mini-lessons every week. You're never old to be creative! These pens are the basis of our artist supplies. Now I want to take a formal brush writing course. I also use these pens to write in our family genealogy book. The ink is permanent, waterproof, acid free and pH neutral so I'm sure it will last for years. There are many uses for these…

Grayscale + Black and Indigo

I love thin brushes and look forward to using them. However, I would prefer if all the buttons were greyscale when there were only 4. The remaining 2 are black and dark indigo. 4 current shades of gray: Cold Gray I, III, IV and VI. There are so many differences between I and III that I would wish for II to be a better gradation. Numbers III and IV are very close together. Number VI and Black have a good separation. Dark Indigo is a beautiful, very dark blue that is noticeably different from…

short life

I have to say I really like these holds, they are very smooth and flow well. It's like writing with velvet. But unfortunately they don't live long. I use them to sign my pictures and they do a very good job, but I also use them to take notes and underline quotes in books I read. Medium is the one I use the most and takes about 2 weeks or a few paintings and a book! I've found that you can buy just one of these instead of the whole pack from Michael, so I just go there and buy the middle one…

Works better than a few days ago

I was delighted with these pens when I received and tested them on December 5th, 2020. At that time they produced a fairly wide range of shades of gray as shown in the image. I then removed them and planned to use them in October 2021. So on September 22, 2021, 9.5 months later, I took them out and was shocked to find that they all ran out! But I tested them again a few days later (September 26th) and they worked pretty much like new. I can't explain what happened. I kept them upright for many…

Cons
  • Ugly packaging

These are great pens, but they wear out pretty quickly. I've only been using them for about a month and I'm already noticing feathering on the ends. My favorite pen in this pack is the one with the smallest tip, which writes smoothly and evenly. I've found that other pens are much more pressure sensitive and don't produce as consistent lines. It's not that big of a problem; it just takes more effort and a firmer hand to produce the same lines as the smallest pen. The quality of these pens…
