What a great pencil set at such a great price

WOW! What a great pencil set for such a small price. This pencil set has colors that none of my other sets have at least 6. From Prismacolor Premiere to Marco Raffine. I love them all, but this one has a lead that doesn't break every time you sharpen it, plus "new" colors that I don't have in other sets. I will definitely be getting a more expensive Faber Castells set in the near future.

Cons
  • Safety

They are good for coloring so you don't waste expensive pens. I compared it to the Prismatic Scholars and the Scholars surpassed it in creaminess and brightness. There are colors that other brands don't have. This isn't an art level, so I won't compare them to Prisma Premiers, FC Polys, or Caran D'a Luminance. I've attached a side that I painted with these classic colors and used metallic FC on some leaves and the blue background. I also forgot to add that they don't blend well in a blender. It

Will definitely be buying more

I know these pens are considered school quality crayons but they are really smooth and creamy when applied. Leads are strong. They sharpen very well. So far I've had one paint that got sharpened and then lost lead, but I think it's the one that didn't do well in shipping. I just sharpened it again and everything is fine. I don't recall any of the paints being remotely identical in color. Pencils don't have names, but they do have a number. I wish companies didn't use gold as it's hard to read…

Too bad I didn't find these first ones

This may be an "average" quality pencil, but it's good. (Thanks to those who create the coloring pages, they seem to lower the price and increase the quality compared to the "student" class.) They lie down in smooth, even colors, as light or bright as you like (pencil pressure). The hexagonal shape makes them last longer than round pens. The core doesn't break, at least I haven't broken one yet. Compared to Prismacolor Primer, they have stronger colors, go on softer and actually blend better…

Pros
  • With space for a name on each pen
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Another great set from Faber-Castell.

I am an adult colorist who finds coloring to be a very enjoyable and relaxing hobby. As a rule, I avoid expensive professional media brands. Because of this, Rose Art and Crayola were my brands for non-aqueous pencils. Until I tried the Faber-Castell set of 12 metal pens and was very impressed. I came back to buy this box of 48 classic colored pencils. Like the Metallics, I found these to be the best colored pencils I have ever used. At the time, I compared them to eyebrow pencils because of…

Very good well pigmented budget pencil

Name: Very good well pigmented budget pencil I took these pencils as a set, that I was able to use for my new coloring book Where's Wally. Something I didn't mind using sharpening for fine detail without having high expectations for blending and shading. I wanted a decent pigment but didn't have high hopes for it. I was actually quite surprised that they did so well. Not as good as my artist pens and not as good as my new Micador ColouRush pens, but they still worked pretty well. I decided to…

  • Only available in black
