Faceted Stainless Steel Serving Spoon From Fortessa Lucca - 18/10 Grade, 9-Inch Length Review

This flatware is really a good value for the price. It has a nice weight (feels like a quality product), looks great and is nicely balanced. I was a little concerned about washing given the intricate pattern on the handles but the product seems to clean very nicely in the dishwasher. The Fortessa Lucca flatware is a very nice upgrade for everyday flatware and is elegant enough for more formal dining as well.

I bought 12 5-piece place settings of this flatware. I love the look and feel, but the pieces are showing rust after only a month of use. I have followed directions; bought dishwasher soap that does not contain chlorine; put the flatware in the basket handles down - still, there have been little brown spots appear - especially on the knives. I can rub it off, but apparently on the knives, the serrated edges continue to deteriorate. I am quite disappointed. I fear that to keep them looking…

Amazing silverware set! Love them! We've had them for 15 months now and still in great condition. They have a very nice weight to them. The reason I am taking away two stars is that the messed up our order. We ordered three sets of this style silverware and instead they sent us two of the style we ordered and one that does not match at all with a different texture. We were unable to exchange it so now it sits in a box unused.

A pleasure to eat with these faceted forks, knives. The weight of the metal makes each piece feel nicely balanced when you hold them.

This is a beautiful pattern but DANGEROUS.I finally used it for a party that I ordered them for and it is terrible!The weight of the handle is extremely heavy and not balanced!They constantly fall off the plates, they are not user friendly. No matter how careful we are, they are a challenge every time we use them.At first, we thought it was us but company confirmed that they are not normal!

Me and the wife bought our fist set of 4 at Williams-Sonoma and the discount was great at the store. These were on sale here too and I grabbed them up fast! They are perfect strength and durable, I love the facet look and feel, they are sturdy in the hand. The only aspect that can cause an issue is the knife is very long and might not fit in many trays.

We used these in one of our favorite restaurants and loved them. Found them on ebay and they are now our daily flatware. We enjoy them every day.Only bad thing is the restaurant set had a little stamp inside the flat areas of the forks and spoons, like the mark you see on silverware. These did not have them. I called Fortessa and they explained they stopped doing this a while back. Just made them look a little classier. Does not detract from the quality or value.

Update 09/24:Contacted Fortessa again and they are sending replacement for free. These are well crafted and beautiful. They’re sturdy and decently heavy pieces, what I imagine all silverware use to be like in the past, however, I received a few knives already missing part of their gold finish, and many of the others lost their finish shortly after. It seems to be the knives and edges of the spoons were most susceptible to finish loss, and they don’t tolerate tomato based dishes well at all, with some forks losing color where they had touch it. The utensils came and all were absolutely great. Unfortunately, we didn’t take a closer look at one of them as the fork has this charred substance on it. We’re unable to remove it. It’s a bit of a shame, as we absolutely do love them otherwise. They’re large, sturdy, and look great. Just wish the quality control was better to make this a superb review.

I first saw this at Sur La Table but did not purchase. After researching the line, I purchased on ebay. I couldn't be happier. The weight and quality of the pieces are amazing and they are dishwasher safe. The hammered look is unique. I wasn't even shopping for new flatware, but I fell in love with the design. These are now part of my daily dining.

Only thing to think about here is that they are heavy so they will fall off a plate you’re carrying pretty easily. These were used at a resort we stayed at and we loved the style and found them. Great brand and beautiful set!

They wash well in the dishwasher and don't bend when used for frozen ice cream (my basic test). They have a very pleasing appearance and don't hide food, which makes them easy to clean. They balance well and have good weight.
