Beautiful Pieces but Steer Clear of the Gold Finish

These are well crafted and beautiful. They’re sturdy and decently heavy pieces, what I imagine all silverware use to be like in the past, however, I received a few knives already missing part of their gold finish, and many of the others lost their finish shortly after. It seems to be the knives and edges of the spoons were most susceptible to finish loss, and they don’t tolerate tomato based dishes well at all, with some forks losing color where they had touch it. I would reorder in silver, if I ever did reorder. After the finish comes off, they’re a decent silver color anyhow, not unsightly or anything, but I was really in love with the gold color. They do scratch, and I have maybe two pieces out of my entire silverware collection that tastes metallic. For reference I have a two person household and hand wash every time so I’m not overly rough on them either.

Pros
  • Arrived in perfect condition - just what I was looking for
Cons
  • May bend or break under pressure
