Easy to install and looks good. The remote cable is actually a constant current source. That didn't work for me. The wipers went on, all the lights on the dashboard went out, and the doorbell wouldn't stop.

BUT it worked on a 2011 Dodge Nitro. I had to move the remote amp wire to the kit's blue spark plug wire. A remote lead to the red power lead is included, meaning the amp will never turn off.

I purchased this item for my 2017 Jeep Wrangler to connect a subwoofer with factory head unit so I can continue using the Sirius xm. I also connected the signal cable to the amp and that worked too. This thing worked as advertised and I recommend it to anyone who wants to keep a factory head unit but want to improve their sound.

I installed this in my 2009 Dodge 1500 to add an amplifier to the system and it worked great. YES, the blue wire is always hot, but you can just run a new wire from the amp and plug it into the cigarette lighter or other wire that only gets hot when the truck is moving.
