Works as expected: Mass Air Flow

Sensor works as expected. The initial and replacement shipments as well as the return of the original device also went as expected. Many Thanks.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Not the best

Only 1 year old and failed

Bought for Bonneville ssei. Fits great, easy to fix but broke after 1 year. Get what you pay for I think. Less than 20,000 km in 1 year.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Good but not great

So far, so good! in Mass Air Flow

Installed in minutes, left the battery negative cable unplugged overnight and the check engine light was off and the car runs smooth again when the engine is cold. It's only been a few days, but so far so good. It was $140 for an advanced car.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Crumpled

Works as advertised

Item works well and fits/installs with no issues. Installation - a few minutes. I hope it lasts longer than the original which only did 41,000 miles. I noticed that it's not built as heavy as the original, but if it lasts it doesn't matter. Currently 5 stars. The joke is that GM uses a secure torx for the MAF sensor. For what reason?

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Minor issues

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Have the right tool for the job.

Mass air flow sensor is easy to change, but requires a suitable Torx bit. It is held in place with center post security screws, so hollow torx bits are required. Before installation, it is recommended to clean all intake ducts and replace the air filter. I installed it less than 500km ago so I can't confirm durability.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Has defects

Fits like a glove and works like a charm!

Compatible with many engines. I used it on an early 2000's Impala LS. So far it has worked flawlessly and fixed some codes showing up on the OBDII reader. I didn't have the right fit for the screws so I had to cut out the engraving on each screw so I could remove them with needle nose pliers and a small flat head screwdriver. There are no screws included so I wouldn't put them where you could lose them.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Some small things

Definitely worth buying

So far so good, no more check engine light or codes, starting problem fixed and fuel economy is looking better after a few days of driving. Most parts stores charge $170 for name brand parts and I'm sure they will probably last longer in the long run. A common complaint I saw was that it only lasted a year or so and for $20 if I only get a year of it I call it a win. Even if you slow down every last year for $20 even at the cost of 9 years and I won't have a car that long.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank
