Valid for 1 use in Spare Parts

Worked great the first time. The second time not so much. It couldn't take the pressure and licked. I had to open the oven, bring the gasket to room temperature and try again, but to no avail. Seal life must be more than 1 use. My last original Fagor seal lasted over 5 years.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • A small change

Doesn't work for Fagor 7 qt.

Bought this gasket for Fagor 7 qt pressure cooker. The inside and outside diameters were the same as the original gasket that came with the pressure cooker. However, the thickness is a little thinner than the original, which causes the pressure cooker cannot reach the pressure. Steam came out from under the seal.

Pros
  • understandable even for the old one

Easy pad replacement for 6 liter pressure cooker

My mother's 6 liter pressure cooker needed a new gasket and several years of use. The pandemic has made the pressure cooker the preferred cooking method so the pad finally failed and I bought one as a spare. Mom was able to fit it in with no problems and we'll see how well it holds pressure and how long it lasts.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Very expensive

Good product and service

Perfect for the lid of my old Fagor pressure cooker. Others have complained that the silicone seal is much "stickier" than the original rubber seal, which is no longer manufactured, and makes opening the lid more difficult. I apply a thin coat of neutral vegetable oil (made from grapeseed oil) to the gasket and it seals perfectly but allows the lid to be opened with ease. We'll see about the durability, but so far so good. The price (for a 2 pack) was very fair and shipping was fast.

Size matters

Gasket is exactly as described and fits my pressure cooker all the way around but not the exact height - I need 2mm more. I measured the height from the top edge to the bottom edge (0.5 inch), which is different than measuring the height directly inside. My pressure cooker is usable but leaks a bit. What happened to the old stretched gasket? My pressure cooker is not a Fagor model; But I was hoping this gasket might be perfect as I can't get parts for myself so my purchase was definitely worth…

Pros
  • Pressure cooker parts and accessories
Cons
  • Defective

Too thin, not real

This gasket is too rubbery and thin to withstand the pressure in my Fagor Duo. The product is much less durable and weighs much less than the original. Kudos if you got it working with your stove, but I doubt the item will last long. Unfortunately, with Fagor no longer in production, OG parts are much more expensive and harder to find, but worth every penny. If you buy this, try to keep it. one end up and you will see how fragile it is. I will post pictures showing a comparison with my Fagor…

Pros
  • Small appliance parts and accessories
Cons
  • Out of fashion

It turned out that the original lasts for about a year. I was looking through a few original Fagor pads until the local store stopped selling them. After using it for more than 8 years with no pressure due to defective seals, I decided to check again and found them at Revain. They feel a bit thicker and larger than the original pods, so the lid doesn't slip or come off as easily as with Fagor's thinner pods. But they seem to seal well and hold pressure. We'll learn more about how they work over
