We followed the rules and tried to play this game twice with two players. The rules didn't make it clear where the discard came from after it was played (e.g. clearing the deck) and at the beginning of the game. We couldn't even successfully get the 3 up, 3 down stack to complete the game on either of the two tries we tried. We are addicted to this game! I bought AT LEAST 5 decks as gifts and for myself. We took 2 decks and used them on the beach where we played 8 people - almost the whole family. Glad we had our shuffler with us - and that's a lot of cards! This is a really awesome game. Our family enjoys playing games, especially cards. We played it with two or four of us and it was great either way. Learning to play is easy which is great because both my 92 year old grandma and 6 year old daughter were able to play with us and we had more fun than a more difficult game (stage 10). this is the usual fallback) because anyone can participate. This game had potential and we gave it a try. My son (12) and I watched creator videos on YouTube to learn how to play properly. Then we played on for an hour and a half. The first phase of the game is silly, if you have less than three cards in hand and discard them to the discard pile, you must draw back to have three cards in hand. Update: 3/12/17 - The family loves the game so much we bought a second set for our trailer for our spring break trip. You can't go wrong with this fast paced and fun game that's easy to play for everyone. Better luck than anything to win.
