Installation requires the use of primer and solvent cement andPTFE Industrial Sealant Tape. 3.PVC for corrosion resistance, high strength, and less weight than fittings made from metal,Smooth interior finish for reduced friction and material buildup. 4.Pipe and Pressure Fittings are used in irrigation, underground sprinkler systems, swim pools, outdoor applications and cold water supply lines,Rainwater collection bucket system,Not for drinking water installation,For cold water system only!. 5.Meets specifications ASTM D2466.

Great Fittings for Industrial Applications

These fittings work great for my industrial compressed air system. They are well-made and hold up well under the high pressure. The couplings are easy to connect and disconnect, which makes maintenance a breeze. One minor con is that they don't come with an adapter, so you'll need to purchase that separately if you need it. Overall, a great value for the price in the Industrial and Scientific category.

Threaded on one end only

Disappointing that the thread is only at one end. The website description about it is unclear (to the layman). Will return.

Beware of bad description of bad

threaded on one end and smooth on the other. You'd have to be a pro to know that it doesn't require threads on the pipe you're trying to join or cement. the use of "X" is not descriptive.
