Average quality, not an outstanding product.

I chose the drive according to the Hard Drive Failure Rates of the Backblaze cloud storage, ST6000DX000 and ST6000DM000 showed good reliability there, but we don’t sell ST6000DM000, and ST6000DX000 costs more than 41 thousand, so I decided to try the DM003 series. Maybe the number 3 at the end means 3rd grade - not marriage and they are sorted by surface quality, or am I just unlucky with this specimen?

Pros
  • ST6000DM003 - large capacity for a small price, quiet. For more than 15 years I have preferred Seagate, although lately it has been disappointing me, okay, another 80GB worked for 5 years as a system one and fell apart, but recently one archive (8-year-old STM31000340AS) for 1TB stopped being read, which was used once a year for archiving.
Cons
  • Reading speed is unstable. This works well for Victoria on a surface reading test. I bought it in Onlinetrade (order No. 20227082 dated 10/04/2022), tested it and passed it back the next day. The test revealed hundreds of blocks with a read time of more than 1 second, and this is on a new disk, but what will happen next? In general, I would not recommend buying the DM003 series. When returning to Onlinetrade, they also made a markdown of 5%. "found traces of operation" (abrasion on the contact pad of the connector). I don’t understand what is the use of reviews where they praise or scold the HDD for being fast or slow, instead of bringing its real characteristics in tests?

Not a bad product, but I expected a little more.

The disc cost me about 6500. I used 20% cashback from Tinkov + 1k promo from . Works 100% for the price. Of course, the reliability of seagates has recently been doubtful.

Lousy product, very low quality.

The BIOS that is attached to the Asus PRIME B550-PLUS motherboard is the most recent and up-to-date version. The mother board has both previously known and newly discovered errors. Just super, it's beautifully made, I'm very happy with it.

Just chocolate fat for 8900. an added box with two USB ports and a respectable 36 watt power supply. Additionally, the box saw and ST3000DM001 function flawlessly together. Yes, DM001 is not a reliable model because there is no market for it, therefore it was changed when the reptile started to fall apart. However, after Victoria and the castration, all was well for the TV. I'm overjoyed! Or perhaps in awe:)

  • So what's not to like when a box with an external STEL6000200 (and an inside ST6000DM003) costs 8900 and a bare ST6000DM003 costs 13–14 sput? I had the ST6000DM003 in addition to the box that was under the pathetic 3-terabyte old drive. Excellent results with the TV. Seagate, keep up the good work!

  • Come on, what are the drawbacks to spending so much money? Only if the box had to be heated with a station hair dryer to prevent the latches from breaking.

Great value for the money, definitely recommended!

I took it as a file cleaner. More than does the job. I checked the full recording cycle in real conditions, everything is recorded and read without problems. With its pros: 1) Price. For a new 6TB screw today (end of 2022), the price tag is quite democratic. 2) Quiet*. There is nothing more to add, the speed tests have already laid out the rest, but in general the hard drive is quite good for itself and does not need additional praises.
