The hard drive is not unlockable. This is the second one I bought as I thought I forgot the password for the first one but this one won't unlock either. And they cannot be returned due to the information stored on them. I do not recommend.

The product came faster than expected. Great, isn't it? This was the high point of this purchase. The disc arrived, the instructions were short and clear. The problem was I received a device that I believe was previously used as I couldn't access the drive not even to enter a passcode. Put your hundred dollars to better use elsewhere. Thanks for wasting a ton of my FD time.

After a few months I have to confirm what the negative reviews are saying: this drive is not unlockable. After repeatedly entering the CORRECT code, it just behaves as if it were wrong. It may or may not unlock if I wait a day. I had to move all data off this drive because I never know when it will completely lock me out. Avoid it and save money. I suspect the positive reviews here were written within the first few weeks of owning this drive. Mine worked great for a while too. just wait

This is the worst product. Unlocking with my code is very difficult. Absolute rubbish. Click the pin, click unlock. Unlocking takes 20-30 attempts. I didn't reset the code and it was unlocked using a different PIN than the one originally entered. Next time I unlocked it under the original pin. Now it won't unlock, period.

The encryption mechanism works as advertised, once you understand that the decryption key must be entered slowly (it seems that the security mechanism does not allow the code to be entered too quickly).
